Holy Communion (November 2021)

Topic: The Appointed Time
Text: Exodus 12:40-42
Ministering: Pastor E. A. Adeboye

I pray for someone here, you will never forget tonight.

Food is very important for the body. Food preserves the body. When every animal wakes up in the morning, the first thing they look for is food. Food is very important, we eat to live. Food is central to everything we do, that is why food is at the Centre of every celebration in a home.
At the appointed time in every Victory, food plays an important role in celebration.

In 1st Kings 19:19-21, when Elijah came to Elisha and informed him that his purpose is to become a prophet, he requested to make food and feast with his family before going with Elijah. In Acts 9:1-22, when it was time for Saul of Tarsus to begin his assignment as an apostle of Christ, he ate first before starting the assignment.

In Gen 15:13-16, God told Abraham about the future affliction and suffering of his people but also mentioned that they will be freed delivered at the end. At the appointed time of freedom, they ate a meal at night.

For every appointed time, there is a meal to be eaten, a sacred meal. To eat the scared meal, you must come to the Lord’s table with a little bit of trembling.

Looking at the themes of this month’s Holy Ghost service and the Congress next month, I have a feeling something great is about to happen, something big is about to happen to someone here.

The appointed time is here!

For some, it will be for good, for the Judases and the pretenders, it is for bad. If you want to be on the side for good, come and surrender your life to Christ now. Stop pretending and playing with sin.
