February 2023 Holy Communion Service

Ministering Pastor E. A. Adeboye.
Topic- Wonderful
Text- 1st Corinth 11 vs 23-26

Through the text, our God wants us to remember that He can heal the sick, raise the dead, turn sorrow into joy, and turn shame into Glory. He is trying to remind us that He has done wonders before, through the breaking of bread (John 6:5-13), he used 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes to feed five thousand people.

He has done it before, He can do it again. He also wants us to remember that he can turn an anti-Christ into an apostle, the same He did for Saul when He turned him into Paul. He wants us to know that when we drink the wine symbolizing His blood, our healing is guaranteed.

Let us be reminded this evening that communion is beyond the bread and wine given. After it has been blessed with a deep understanding of who has asked us to remember him, then it begins to bring healing and deliverance. This is why it is important not to take the meal casually.

We take communion at night because it is the Lord’s supper, and this act is according to the scripture.

As we take communion tonight, it takes us back to over 2000 years ago when the sacrifice was made for our healing and deliverance.

If you have not given your life to Christ and accepted Him as your Lord and savior, it will be very dangerous for you to take communion casually. So if you want to give your life to Christ, come and do so now.

When you take the bread, you will look back at the healing power of the Cross and your prayer will be: Father heal me!

When you take the wine, your prayer will be: Father fill me with the Holy Ghost till I overflow.
