What is a covenant?
To understand what a covenant is, we have to take a look at other things first:
° Promises; which can be broken but not by God.
Numbers 23:19
2 Corinthians 1:20
° Contract; an agreement between two or more parties with a penalty attached if the contract is broken
• A covenant can be called a contract, an agreement that is signed with blood.
• The penalty for breaking a covenant is usually death. Genesis 17:10, 14
• A word that is close to a covenant is a vow.
Numbers 30: 2-16
Ecclesiastes 5: 4-5
• There are many a covenant between God and man.
• The only person who can break a covenant and go scot-free is God because He doesn’t die.
• Yet, He doesn’t break covenants because He is a covenant-keeping God.
Types of Covenants
- Covenant of healing.
Exodus 15:26
Psalm 107: 17-20
• Sin opens the door for the enemy to attack. It opens the door to sickness. - Covenant of Deliverance & Victory
Deuteronomy 28: 1-7, Joshua 1: 1-8
• If you deviate from the covenant, you will suffer from it. Joshua 7: 1-12 - Covenant of Blessings
Deuteronomy 28: 1-2 - Covenant of Mercy.
Romans 9: 15-16
• If you’re merciful, you can come into the covenant of mercy with God. Matthew 5:7
• It causes God to do what He would not normally do.
Mark 1: 40-45 - Covenant of newness
Revelation 21:5
• No matter how great you are, there is more.
1 John 3:2, 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Covenant of answered prayers.
Jeremiah 33:3
Isaiah 55: 6-7, John 15:16 - Covenant of Fruitfulness
Exodus 23: 25-26
• Barrenness is a yoke.
• Your part of the covenant is to serve the Lord.
It is the only condition.
Salvation Call
If you haven’t given your life to Jesus, cry to Him now and ask Him to have mercy on you, wash away your sins and receive you into the family of God.

Go before God and tell Him which covenants you want to be activated tonight.
