Day 4 – Evening Service
Topic: The Land of the Endless Day
Ministering: Pastor E. A. Adeboye
Deliverance and the Power of God
When we talk about deliverance, many of us think about possession by the devil. However, possession is the final stage of Satan’s activity in a person’s life. Every day begins with a night, and it’s in these moments of darkness that we must call upon God’s power.
The Pattern of God’s Work
- Genesis 1:1-3 shows us that before light came, darkness came.
- Confusion always comes before order.
- Storms always come before calmness (Mark 4:35-41).
Are You in a Storm?
If you’re facing a storm in your life, remember that every testimony begins with a problem. The bigger the problem, the bigger the testimony.
- The widow had a serious financial problem (2 Kings 4:1-7).
- The mad man had a legion of demons in him until Jesus came (Mark 5:2-15).
Your Situation is Not Hopeless
Financially, your situation may be critical, but remember that every day begins with a night. Every testimony begins with a crisis. If you have a problem, that’s the beginning of a testimony. But when the problem refuses to move and the night refuses to change, we need to call on heaven to intervene.
Conditions for Deliverance
To receive deliverance tonight, remember:
- There must be no trace of cooperation between you and the forces of darkness (Numbers 23:19-24).
- You must be as pure as light.
Steps to Deliverance
Here are the steps we will take tonight:
- Praise Him: When it’s time to praise God, praise Him like a baby.
- Come Against the Forces of Darkness: In the Name that is above every other name, come against the forces of darkness.
Call to Salvation
If you haven’t given your life to Jesus or would like to rededicate your life, ask the Lord to:
- Have mercy on you
- Forgive your sins
- Wash you clean with His blood
- Save your soul
- Make you holy
