Text: Exodus 3: 7-12
- In every company, there are customers.
Likewise, in the Church, there are people who come and expect to collect something, then leave afterward.
- Also, in every company, there are those who keep the company going. They’re called the staff. They are in categories.
Even higher than the staff are those called the partners. They are partners with the owner. The owner is called the senior partner.
☆ Partnership is originally God’s idea. From the beginning, God was interested in partnership.
- The first partner with God was Adam.
Genesis 2: 19-20 - Moses. Exodus 3: 8-10
- God is still looking for partners. Isaiah 6: 1-8
- He looked on a nation and couldn’t find a single person to intercede for the nation and pacify His anger. Ezekiel 22: 29-31
Why does the One Who can do all things need a partner?
He is sovereign. Psalm 115:3
No man can see Him with their eyes. Exodus 33: 18-23
The way He speaks, He needs a partner to convey His message – He speaks in a still small voice. 1 Kings 19: 11-12
If He raises His voice, it will sound like thunder.
John 12: 28-29, Exodus 20: 18-19
God, as our Senior Partner
▪︎ He has absolute control over everything done in the company.
▪︎ Whatever the junior partner does must be done in the name of the senior partner. The junior partner can not dictate to the senior partner.
Mark 16: 16-17
1 Samuel 17: 42-51, Acts 19: 16-17
▪︎ The junior partner must be subject to the senior partner. Luke 7: 2-10
You don’t argue with Him.
What the Senior Partner does for the junior partner:
- He provides, using whatever method pleases Him. Philippians 4: 19
- Ravens, then a widow. 1 Kings 17: 2-17
- He protects.
Isaiah 54: 15-17, Psalm 20: 7-8 - Not only does He protect, He defends. 2 Kings 1: 9-12, 2 Kings 6
- He equips you.
Mark 3: 13-15, Acts 1:8
- He gives you everything you need to do what you need to do.
Philippians 4: 13
- He supports you, the junior partner.
Exodus 3: 11-12, 1 Samuel 17: 34-37
- He assures us that He will be with us always.
Matthew 28: 18-20 - He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Hebrews 13:5
- If you’re God’s partner and you have that assurance, people will discover that there is no employer like God Almighty. He will spoil you. Mark 10: 28-30
You can’t trade with God and lose. His company can’t close down. The success of His company is not dependent on the economy.
- He will honour His partners. 1 Samuel 2: 30, Matthew 10: 32
The way He honours you is that He promotes you above others.
Exodus 7:1, 1 Kings 17:1, Numbers 12: 5-8
- Agree with Him.
- Agreeing with the Senior Partner makes it easy for you to obey Him.
John 15: 14-15. You must obey Him totally. - Once you decide to partner with Him, there must be no looking back. Luke 9: 57-62, Hebrews 10: 38
- You must be faithful to Him and trustworthy. 1 Corinthians 4: 2
- You must be willing to endure hardness. 2 Timothy 2: 3
You must be willing to pay the price.
2 Corinthians 12: 15, Acts 21: 10-14
☆ Partners are a select group of people. They are specially selected by God. Mark 3: 13-15, John 15: 16
Not everyone can become His partner. Matthew 22: 14
Those who become partners with God are those who:
- Walk righteously and fear God. Acts 10: 34-35
- Honour God. 1 Samuel 2: 30
If you want to be God’s partner, you must be willing to be a fool for His sake.
1 Corinthians 1: 26-29 - The people God will choose are those who are willing to let go of their brilliance and be fools for God’s sake.
Fire is involved in preparing whoever will be God’s partner.
Isaiah 6: 1-8
When fire comes in contact with anything, it changes that thing to itself. Whatever refuses to be changed to itself becomes ashes.
You can not become a partner of God unless you’re thoroughly born again.

If you haven’t given your life to Jesus or would like to rededicate your life, ask the Lord to have mercy on you, forgive your sins, wash you clean with His blood, and save your soul.
