June 2024 Thanksgiving
Text: Psalm 3:1-3, Exodus 3: 13-14
God referred to Himself as the I am that I am.
That means that whoever you need God to be, He will be for you.
- If you need healing, God is your Healer
- If you need deliverance, He is your deliverer
- If you need provision, He is the provider (Gen 17:1 )
- If you need fruitfulness, He is the fruitful vine (John 15:1-5)
- When you need a way, call on The Way
- When you need the truth in counsel, call on The Truth
- When it seems like the world is caving in on you, call on The Life
Circumstances that can bow our heads, and cause us to need a Divine Lifting
- Failure 1 Kings 19: 4-8
When Elijah felt he had failed, his head was bowed. But God strengthened him and lifted his head. - Defeat John 5: 2-9
Defeat will cause one’s head to be bowed in shame
In John 5: 2-29, he had been defeated for 38 years, and when God visited him, He lifted up his head - Sorrow Luke 7:11-15
When one is in sorrow/sadness it is difficult to lift their head.
I decree today that you will never weep again! - Stagnation- being on the same spot year after year, despite your hard work.
- Certain unseen forces Luke 13: 11-17
Certain forces can operate on a person , to bend/hold down such person .
I decree in Jesus name, that any force holding you down will let you go today in Jesus name!
And if they don’t let you go, the fire of God will consume them!
- Shame
When one is ashamed, it is difficult to life one’s head.
Shame they say, is heavier than load.
We have the One who can take away all shame, He will take away your shame in Jesus name!
What should you do so the lifter up of your head, can help you?
Restitution.
In a case where you are responsible for the situation bowing you down, you need to go back and restitute.
When Joshua experienced defeat, God told him to go back and restitute, only then did he have victory.
Restitution will open the way for deliverance for you, and you will be lifted up.
You need to surrender your life, to the One who can take away your shame forever, and lift you out of the miry clay.
