Text: 1 Peter 2:24
☆ There is a spiritual law called the law of substitution.
• When someone is meant to suffer some ill, and another takes their place, substitution has occurred.
Proverbs 11:8
Exodus 14: 21-28
Daniel 3: 19-30
Daniel 6
• Whether you believe it or not, the day you gave your life to Jesus, a mark was placed on you; a mark that tells the enemy that this one is for Jesus.
• This is why you must ensure that everyone in your family is saved.
☆ God made Jesus sin so that we might become righteous.
Why?
▪︎ God wants you to have someone who will be your substitute. 2 Corinthians 5:21
The righteous will be delivered from death, but Jesus was made unrighteous, to suffer on our behalf.
He became our Substitute:
• He was made sin that we might become righteous. 1 John 1:7, 1 Peter 2:24
• He was made poor for us to become rich. Jesus never got married and suffered loneliness so that we would never be lonely. 2 Corinthians 8:9
Hebrews 13:5
• He never had a biological child so you would never be barren.
• He knew the pain of beating so that the pain in your flesh will be dealt with.
• Because He has paid for sickness, and pain, you can lay hands on the sick and they’ll recover. Mark 16: 16-18
• Whatever you need has been paid for by your substitute; claim your benefit.
Salvation Call
If you’re not born again, you will be your own substitute.
Cry to Jesus to have mercy on you, save your soul & ask Him to be your Substitute. Tell Him you surrender your life to Him, & will serve Him forever
Prayer Point
Father, don’t let Your suffering over me be in vain.
