Ministering: Pastor E. A. Adeboye
Text: Psalm 141:3

The one who is going to be a gate protector must be strong and equipped. You must not just be well — you must be whole.
There are several gates leading from the outside to your soul:

Gate 1: Eyes
With your eyes, you see things that are outside, and what you see outside affects what goes on inside you. Genesis 13:14-15 — What you see is what you desire. What you desire is what you get.
If you don’t watch the gate of your eyes, you can get something that will kill you.

If you focus on the wrong thing, it can end you. Joshua 7
If you see the right thing, you can get everything God has for you.
2 Kings 2:9-15, Keep the gates of your eyes so that your eyes will not destroy you.

Gate 2: Ears
What happens inside you has a lot to do with what you hear.
Romans 10:17 — What you hear determines your faith. Fear also comes from hearing. Not just what you hear is important, but also how you hear and analyse it.

Numbers 13:26-33 — Whose report will you believe? Keep your ears open. Protect the gate.

Gate 3: Mouth
If you’re not going to say something positive, keep your mouth shut.
Proverbs 18:21 — How you use your mouth can determine if you’ll live or die. Ecclesiastes 5:3 — Every true child of God should not be talkative. 2 Kings 7 — If you hear a word of prophecy and have doubts, refrain from sharing so that God doesn’t do what He wants to do outside you — you see it but will not partake of it.

Gate 4: The Touch Gate
You can receive your healing by touching. Mark 5:25-34 — Watch the gate of your touch. 2 Corinthians 6:17 — Don’t touch what you shouldn’t touch if you want God to receive you. Be careful what you do with your hands.

Gate 5: Nose
Your nostrils are the real gates of life — probably the most important gates of life. Genesis 2:7, John 20:21-22
Beware of the company you keep. Be careful where you hang out.
Where you hang out determines what you’re breathing in.
What is coming out of others — which is what you’re breathing in — can determine if you remain filled with the Holy Spirit or if you’re filled with demons.

For the girls:
Protect the gates of your womb. Keep yourself pure.
When God wants to do something special, He selects wombs that have not been defiled. Luke 1:26-38

For the boys
Keep your vessel pure and abstain from sexual impurity.
Keep yourself unspotted from the world. Protect the name of the Lord
Exodus 20:7 — Don’t use the name of the Lord casually.
Psalm 115:1-3 — The word of every true child of God should be trustworthy.

The biggest gate of all: The gate of eternity
The gate goes through Jesus Christ. John 14:6
