Text: Deuteronomy 28: 1-4
When God was creating all manner of things, He would look at them and say they were good. But He created man and said ‘very good’.
He said this because man is God’s masterpiece.
- The way God has chosen to recreate His masterpiece is through reproduction. Genesis 1:28
- Every child is a reproduction of God’s masterpiece. This is why God has a special love for children. Psalm 127:3
- The greatest reward a person can get is God Himself. Genesis 15:, Philippians 3:7-8
- He then goes ahead to say His own reward to us is children.
- If you mess with a child, you will have God to deal with. Matthew 18:5-6, Mark 10:15
Lessons to learn from children (Mark 10:15)
- Humility. Matthew 18:4, James 4:6
- Faith. Genesis 22:1-15, Hebrews 11:6
- Worship. Matthew 21: 15-16, Isaiah 29:13
- Children don’t harbor evil in their hearts. They forgive easily. Hebrews 12:15
- Children are easy to carry. Mark 10: 13-16
Can God carry you? Or are you already too big for Him to carry you?
Because God loves children, automatically, satan hates children. Genesis 3: 1-15, 12: 1-3
The Role of Anointing:
- It breaks the yoke and generational curses. Isaiah 10:27, Joshua 6:26, 2 Kings 2: 19-22
- It puts a seal on the child. Ephesians 4:30
3 The seal ensures protection (Psalm 105:15), protection against death. 1 Kings 17: 8-24 - The anointing activates the destiny of the child. Acts 13: 21-22, 1 Samuel 16: 1-13
- The anointing restores destiny. Mark 5: 2-19
As I say children, you’re also included as you’re never too old to be God’s child.
As parents, you have roles to play:
Every child put in your care is a loan from God. Psalm 127:3
- Train them. Proverbs 22:6
- Correct them. Proverbs 29:6
- Show them the way of the Lord. Genesis 22: 1-18
- Cling to Jesus tenaciously for their sake. Matthew 15: 21-28
- Don’t bring a curse upon them. 2 Kings 5: 20-27
